The newest addition to the La Aroma de Cuba line, the Mi Amor, was released this past august. The Mi Amor, blended by Don Pepin Garcia for the Ashton brand, is Ashton's first Mexican leaf wrapped cigar. The new blend received a 94 rating from Cigar Aficionado as well as making the number 6 position on their top 25 cigars of the year list!
Using the new V cutter from Xikar (review on that come!) opened up a smooth open draw with prelight tastes of dark rich earth and a hint of hay or grass. Unlike the rest of the La Aroma De Cuba line, which tends to be strong and peppery from the start, the Mi Amor is light and has the taste of a fine French coffee with a hint of chocolate that adds a wonderful sweetness. Towards the end of the cigar the flavors become more toasty akin to roasted nuts and coffee beans.
A Tasty cigar from start to finish, The Mi Amor by La Aroma is Havana Sensation's Cigar of the month for January. Moderately priced at $8.50 for the magnifico size, this cigar is a bargain and a definite must smoke for any cigar lover novice or seasoned.
La Aroma De Cuba are one of my favorite go to cigars that I always have in my humidor. This medium to full bodied smoke was totally different again the approved La Aroma De Cuba which was actual accustomed by this analyst in fact the only thing similar was the band.
